Melissa Ulrich - Agency Owner/Travel Advisor

Travel, both domestically and internationally, is a priority for our family. I believe the world is a better place when people take the time to get to know from one another’s experiences and cultures. Taste the foods, smell the scents, and take in the beauty that exists in the day to day.  And of course, learn about the history along the way!

Prior to entering the travel industry, I graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I pursued a career in sales and operations management followed by opening my own business in legal services. My passion and my heart remained with travel and I jumped in with all I had to create You Pack, We Plan! I bring decades of professional experience to the planning of your unforgettable vacation and a touch of OCD for organization and details. I have created a talented team of travel advisors to take care of your every vacation desire.

You might say I’m solar powered: I love the feel of sun on my face. Coffee tastes better around a mountain campfire, and wine tastes better against an ocean sunset. Living in the landlocked, flat Midwest makes enjoying the outdoors difficult for at least half the year, so my family travels to the warmth or bundles up to embrace the cold in order to get our travel-fix. I believe the perfect vacation combines just the right amount of excitement and relaxation. I can help you find the perfect balance for yours!

I LOVE traveling, to the extent that I enjoy simply planning trips, even if it’s not for me! Learning about and exploring new places is my passion. I’ve had the pleasure of exploring both East & West Coast and of course the Caribbean. Exploring Europe is next on my list. I can’t wait to help you plan your unforgettable vacation.

Saying I love to travel is an understatement. I love exploring new territories, tasting new foods, and engaging with people from different cultures. I have been blessed with opportunities to share these experiences with family and friends throughout my life. The memories I have made through my travels are priceless, and as a travel advisor, my goal is to help create these priceless memories for you. Let me help you discover new places and experiences, and who knows, maybe even ignite a passion for traveling in you.

Traveling is one of my biggest passions. Growing up in the mountains of East Tennessee created a love of exploring and adventure that has never gone away. I have road-tripped across the US, traveled throughout Europe, and taken more day trips across the Southeastern states than I can count. I usually take my daughter and husband along on my adventures, so I am especially familiar with family travel. My personal experience has shown me that vacations are more than just getaways; they are memories in the making. I look forward to sharing in that experience with you.

Travel has many purposes in my life-relaxation, adventure, cultural immersion, rejuvenation.  My most memorable moments are from our adventures during my childhood and now as a mother of 2. The value in learning about other cultures is immeasurable, and I get great satisfaction sharing this with my children. I am passionate about travel and love to share my passion with you.  My experience, combined with my attention to detail and planning are what drives me to create unforgettable vacations for others.

I’m a lifelong native Austinite, and I proudly graduated from the University of Texas. Before I became a travel advisor, I served as the Executive Director of a prominent non-profit organization, where I skillfully managed more than 50 events each year. I’m excited to bring that same highly detailed event planning mentality and expertise to the art of crafting world-class, unforgettable vacations tailored specifically for your family’s needs and desires. .

My love for travel was sparked when I was younger, where I grew up camping and visiting state parks all over Texas. Since then, I have been able to explore several states and cities across the country and have started to travel internationally! I love to learn about the history and cultures of the different areas I visit, and of course, taste the local food! I love sharing my passion for travel and planning the best vacation that fits everyone’s needs. I can’t wait to go on new adventures and would love to help you plan yours! .

As a former teacher and lifelong learner, I firmly believe that the best way to learn is through experience. Whether that’s testing your comfort zone in a world across the ocean or exploring a new town just a few miles over, I’m excited to help everyone find the same joy in travel that I have. My first flight out of the country was a solo trip to England during college, and I haven’t stopped traveling since! Solo or as a family, for business or for pleasure, I’m here to help bring your trip dreams to life!

I love to see, touch, and taste the world and I believe that traveling is the best way to experience new things and learn more about yourself as well as your traveling companions.  Some of my favorite memories were made on family trips or trips with friends.  Whether it’s a family trip skiing in the Sierra Nevada or B&B hopping in the Scottish Highlands, I’m always looking forward to my next adventure, or helping someone else to plan and realize theirs!  Just let me know how I can help you plan your next adventure.

I developed my love of travel while living in Denmark during a study aboard program in college.  After the six month program, I backpacked throughout Europe and was eager to learn the rich history and cultures, and sample the enjoy local food. I look forward to visiting new countries and exploring their beautiful landscapes.
I understand how valuable your time can be and I look forward to planning your next unforgettable vacation!

I inherited my love of travel from my parents and treasure the memories I have of our family vacations.  This is something that I have passed down to my children and we are always looking for a new destination to explore!  As much as I love to travel, I must admit that I love the research and planning part of the trip just as much.  The secret is in the details. No matter the destination, it is always my goal to ensure that my clients can make the most out of their valuable vacation time in a way that works best for them. .

I was lucky enough growing up that I had parents who loved to travel. One of my favorite memories as a kid is going to Turks and Caicos and ordering as many cherry cokes from the swim-up bar as I could. I thought we were VIP there. I am now passing my love for travel on to my 2 children by taking them to see as many places around the world as I can. I love to get to know my clients first and then I will plan a vacation specifically catered to them and their families. Whether you want to go on a cruise, stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean, or just want to take a quick trip 2 hours from home, I promise to give you an amazing vacation you and your family will be talking about for years.

I’ve had the travel bug since I was a little girl! I studied abroad in Ireland, visited Paris with my then fiance, and just returned from an Outlander-themed girls’ trip to Scotland. Before becoming a travel advisor I worked as a teacher for six years--however, my dream was always to work in the travel industry! I have three children and have been traveling with them since they were toddlers, so I have plenty of experience with planning family vacations--I can’t wait to help you plan you yours!

My specialty is multi family travel. Planning family travel is a bit like putting together a great puzzle. So many different pieces, but when you snap in that last piece and it all fits, the satisfaction is tangible. I love making that happen for every family, with young kids or in their golden years or a mix of both. I have a large family and know how important it is to manage everyone’s needs so that every family member is happy! .

Call me a restless spirit, but traveling has always been in my blood. From a young age, my family took amazing trips. We love to be in nature and see and experience new things. As a teen, I was very fortunate to travel to Europe.  That trip really opened my eyes to the world and what an amazing place it is, with so much to see and do. I believe traveling should be as stress free as possible. My travel experience has taught me what to avoid and what to embrace.  I look forward to helping you plan your dream vacation.

Growing up, the thought of getting out of my small town was something I always dreamed about. From the first time traveling out of the country to later moving to another state, I knew my love for travel was just beginning. The excitement of seeing unfamiliar places, tasting different foods, and exploring local history is something I hope everyone will get an opportunity to experience. That passion for travel and my love for planning, drew me to pursue my degree in Hospitality and Tourism management. Whether it is planning a weekend getaway or travel to far away destinations, every detail is valuable in making each trip memorable! Let me take the stress of planning your dream vacation while you focus on the memories you will make!
